The BMW 5-Series has registered Year to Date growth of 38 percent since its launch in India. Since the launch of the all-new BMW 5-Series, the quarterly sales performance (third quarter) has been at its best. BMW Group India sales for 2017 (January to September) has grown by 17.3 percent as compared to 2016. Till date, the company has delivered 7138 cars to customers in the calendar year 2017. The BMW 5-Series is available with a choice of 3 engine options – 2.0-litre diesel with 190 HP, 2.0-litre petrol with 240 HP and a range topping 3.0-litre in-line six diesel engine with 258 HP and 620 Nm. Its major rival is the Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB that was launched earlier this year in India.
