Hyundai launches Xcent Prime with Factory Fitted CNG Kit at Rs 5.93Lakh

Hyundai Motors have launched the Xcent Prime CNG today in India at Rs 5.93 Lakh. Hyundai Motors had facelifted the Xcent compact sedan sometime back for the passenger car market. Hyundai continued to sell the pre facelift Xcent to the commercial segment. under the brand name Prime. Hyundai has priced the Xcent Prime at Rs. 593231 for the T and T+ is priced at Rs. 612911 ex showroom Delhi.

Announcing the introduction of the new variant, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava- Director- Sales & Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) said: “Superior customer experience through innovation is the hallmark of Hyundai Brand DNA. As a customer centric company we are committed to the growing commercial segment with Xcent Prime becoming the preferred option for our customers. With the addition of factory fitted CNG we are confident of meeting the request of the fleet aggregators for a vehicle in the commercial segment at a very low cost of ownership.”

The Hyundai Xcent Prime CNG becomes the first sedan in the Commercial car segment to come with a factory fitted CNG kit. Xcent Prime CNG comes in two trims: T & T+ and offer Best-in-class warranty of 100,000 kms/ 3 years and is specially tuned for CNG compatibility. As per Hyundai the factory fitted CNG has many advantages, as the Xcent Prime comes with factory fitted SLF – Speed Limiting Function at no additional cost to end user. Hyundai claims that the factory fitted CNG will also help ease of registration and financing process besides giving registration tax benefit in select areas. Additionally, the factory-fitted CNG will save time of installation post-delivery making it direct to use.

Hyundai sells around 2000-3000 units of the Xcent Primes currently and now with this addition of a factory fitted CNG version the Korean giant plans to take on the current segment leader Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour full-on in the commercial car segment that mainly comprises of fleet and taxi car buyers.
