Maserati Launches New Levante Premium SUV at Rs 1.45 cr

Italian Premium car maker Maserati launched the New Levante Premium SUV in India today. The Maserati Levante is priced at Rs. 1.45 Crore ex showroom. The New Maserati Levante now comes with two additional trims, GranLusso and GranSport priced at Rs 1.48 crore and Rs 1.53 crore, respectively.

Bojan Jankulovski, Head of Operations, Maserati India said, “The introduction of 2018 Levante is our commitment to satisfy the significantly increasing demand for premium SUVs in India. The design, exclusivity and performance are the key characteristics when describing this new Maserati; and will turn out to be a distinguishing factor for the Trident in the luxury SUV space.”

Maserati Levante comes in both 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engine globally and in India the Levante gets the 3.0 Liter Diesel engine. This engine makes 271 bhp of peak power and hits out 600 Nm of peak torque. This is an brand new engine that is made by VM Motori and also powers the Ghibli and the Quattroporte in the Maserati family. With this engine under the hood the New Levante can do a dash to 100 kmph in just 6.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 230 kmph. The Levante comes mated to an eight speed automatic transmission. The New Levante also comes with and option of ‘Active Sound’ exhaust that changes the exhaust note depending on the chosen drive mode that the car is in.

The New Levante also comes with an hydraulic steering, torque vectoring chassis and Q4 all-wheel-drive system on it. The Levante also gets Drive modes –  Auto Normal, Auto Sport and Auto Manual and a forth Auto Off-Road mode. The off road mode increases the overall ground clearance of the vehicle.

Maserati has built the Levante using lightweight materials, which helps it achieve the segments  lowest center of gravety with an  ideal 50:50 weight distribution. The interiors also get an update with the new 8.4″ high-resolution touch screen with rotary control. The premium cabin comes with  premium leather, fine woods, platinum-effect metals, handcrafted contrast stitching, and more. The buyer also has an option of upgrading the sound systems from Bowers & Wilkins or Harman Kardon.

The Levante comes with the state-of-the-art driving aid systems such as adaptive cruise control with start/stop function, forward collision warning, automatic brake assist system and lane departure warning are also available on request. Additional options include blind spot alert, surround view camera and power lift tailgate.

The new Maserati Levante is available at the three Maserati dealers in India in  Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi.
