Mercedes Benz India launched the Maybach S650 and Mayback S560 in India at a price tag of Rs. 2.73 crore and Rs. 1.94 crore ex-showroom, Delhi. The S650 will be fully imported into India while the S560 will be locally manufactured in Pune. This is also the only other assembly facility around the world (other than Germany) where the Maybach S560 will be manufactured. The S560 also gets one of the BS6 petrol engines in India which is way before the 2020 deadline. The S560 is powered by a twin turbo V8 petrol motor. The S650 on the other handis powered by a mammoth V12 engine that is turbocharged to develop 630 HP of max power.
Based on the theme of ‘The Best Keeps Leading’, the Mercedes-Benz India pavilion features a total of 13 fascinating products and is the largest luxury car pavilion spread across 1548 sq. mt. area. Present on the occasion were Ms. Britta Seeger, Member of the Board of Management, Mercedes-Benz Marketing & Sales, Mr. Matthias Luehrs, Head, Region Overseas, Mercedes-Benz Cars and Mr. Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.
