Skoda Kamiq SUV interiors revealed

Skoda has released the interior pictures of their upcoming SUV the Kamiq. Skoda will globally premiere the Kamiq at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show that happens soon. Last week Skoda had released the exterior sketches for the Kamiq.

The cabin of the Kamiq looks spacious and well laid out in typical Skoda quality and premium styling. This becomes the 2nd model from Skoda to feature this new interior styling concept. As per Skoda the cabin styling on the Kamiq is inspired from the Vision RS Concept which was showcased at last years Paris Motor Show.

The cabin styling is kept simple with straight lines doing the dashboard. The instrument cluster is the 10.25 inches virtual cockpit screen which could be an optional feature. The center dash features the touch screen infotainment system which would come with all the connectivity options including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link. The dash and the door pads feature metal inserts that add to the classiness of the cabin of the Skoda Kamiq.

Also seen are the neatly designed AC vents on the edge of the dashboard. The dashboard itself appears to be made of the premium soft foam material with the typical Skoda style grain finish on it. Skoda will also be offering ambient lighting in copper, red or white colors to enhance the rich feel of the Kamiq.

The Kamiq gets stitching on the seat covers made of Suedia which is a fine microfiber material which would be available as an upholstery option. The Skoda Kamiq also will be offered with the optional heated windscreen, rear seats and steering wheel on its feature list.

The Skoda Kamiq is built on the modular transverse matrix (MQB) platform that offers the generous interior space. With a wheelbase of 2,651 millimetres, the car offers generous knee clearance of 73 millimetres in the back. The boot volume is 400 litres, increasing to 1,395 litres with the rear seat backrests folded down.

The Skoda Kamiq will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan KICKS, Renault Captur, upcoming Kia SP2 SUV. Watch this space for more details on the Skoda Kamiq soon.
