Volkswagen India inaugurates new 3S facility in Erode, Tamil Nadu
Volkswagen, one of India’s leading car manufacturer, based out of Europe has yesterday inaugurated its new showroom in Erode, Tamil Nadu. The new facility, Volkswagen Erode, located at Perundurai Road is a 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) dealership equipped with seven car display areas, six service bays and adequate spares stock.
The inauguration of the new showroom is the 13th customer touchpoint in the state of Tamil Nadu and will be spearheaded by Mr. Sudersan Jagadeesan, Dealer Principal, Volkswagen Erode.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said, “The inauguration of Volkswagen Erode, is another step towards providing convenience and comfort for our customers in the region. We believe that our association with customers goes beyond sales and it is our constant endeavor to provide them with a holistic Volkswagen experience at our dealerships. Volkswagen India had started its operations in India around 2010 by setting up a plant around Chakan, Pune. Volkswagen Polo and Vento are the best selling models for the German carmaker in India and Volkswagen clearly wants to capitalise on the same. While the Polo and Vento are designed with clean and straight lines they are getting a bit long on the tooth now. Seven years is a long life cycle for any model in India and VW keeps refreshing the models with new updates and feature additions, to keep them in the mix.
The inauguration of Volkswagen Erode will take the total network to 122 showrooms in 106 cities across India. The 3S facility is located at the following address, No: 327/2B, Perundurai Road, Erode- 638012.
