Renault India has announced that its flagship brand KWID, has crossed the 3-lakh sales milestone in India. Renault KWID continues to be a major disruptor in India’s mini-car segment. Having played a key role in the growth of the Renault brand in India, Renault KWID also become one of the most successful ‘Make in India’ stories, and is a volume-driver for Renault India.
A game-changer for Renault, KWID is built on the pillars of Attractive, Innovative and Affordable and now one of India’s best-selling cars in the mini-car segment. With a rapidly increasing customer base, it has successfully carved a niche for itself and has been one of the most successful launches in the mini-car segment in recent times.
The Renault KWID comes loaded with many features with include 7-inch touchscreen Media NAV system, digital Instrument cluster, one-touch lane change indicator, speed dependent volume control and pro-sense seat belt pretensioners with load limiters and boot capacity of 300 liters.
Safety features on the KWID include Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (ABS with EBD), Driver airbag and Driver & Co Driver Seat belt reminder, speed alert, standard across all variants, Rear-view camera to name a few.
Powering the Renault KWID are two engines option to choose from, the 0.8 litre and 1.0 litre SCe Petrol motors. Transmission options include a manual gearbox and also a 5-speed AMT transmission.
The Renault KWID Range comes with a 4 year / 1 lakh km (whichever is earlier) class-leading warranty along with Roadside Assistance at no extra cost. This includes the regular 2 years / 50,000 km comprehensive warranty along with a complimentary additional 2 years / 50,000 km extended warranty. The Renault KWID is available in six colour options – Fiery Red, Planet Grey, Moonlight Silver, Ice Cool White, Outback Bronze and Electric Blue for the KWID Climber.
