Bajaj Chetak launched at ₹1 Lakh, Bookings to open from tomorrow

Bajaj Auto , today announced the formal launch of the new Chetak. Unveiled on 16th october 2019 at New Delhi . The all new EV chetak is open for bookings with test rides at select KTM showrooms across Pune and Bengaluru and their experience centre in Pune commencing by end of jan. The Chetak is priced at ₹.1 lac for the drum brake variant and ₹1.15 lac for the Chetak Premium ex showroom inclusive of applicable subsidies . It will be available in two variants Urbane and Premium , in 6 colour options . A charging station which does not take up a lot of space also to be part of the package.

 

The Chetak boasts of a timeless design , few exquisite features like the feather touch activated electronic switches and sequential scrolling rear LED blinkers etc .

 

 

With the effort and need of maintainance almost reduced by 70% the chetak has a good service interval of 12,000 kms or one year and comes with an overall warranty of 3 years or 50,000 kms which also covers the lithium Ion battery

The Chetak comes with an IP67 rated high-tech lithium Ion Battery with NCA cells. The 3KWH battery provides a peak power of 4.08 KW and 3.8KW continuous for a effortless ride. It has two drive modes ECO and SPORT and a reverse assist mode to ensure that all the demands of a rider are met. The regenerative braking helps maximise its range to 95kms more or less.

There is also a mobile app which gives the rider a comprehensive overview of all aspects of their vehicle and its ride history.

 

Bajaj auto also has planned a fully digital way to go about the sales of the Chetak which shall make the experience hassle free. They also plan to have an ipad in the showroom which with AR tech will help the customer understand the scooter better at their own pace.
