2021 Honda BR-V unveiled for Indonesia, Coming to India?

Honda has unveiled the 2nd generation of their MPV model the 7-seater BR-V in Indonesia. Honda had earlier showcased it as the N7X Concept there. Indonesia becomes the 1st market to get the All New Honda BR-V. The MPV now gets all new outsides, insides and loads of new features on it and has been introduced in V, E, and Prestige variants and five colour options, which include Premium Opal White Pearl (new colour), Taffeta White, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl. . The most important question is Will it be launched here in India too where the model was discontinued some time back?

All New Honda BR-V Exteriors

Let us tell you more on the All New Honda BR-V, in terms of exteriors the MPV comes with an all new design bold LED headlamps with LED DRLs , all new bolder front grille, new sharp front bumper, faux skid plates, clamshell bonnet design. On the sides the BR-V gets a sharp character line that flows from the head lamps through the sides. You also get a unique sloping glass line that tapers down giving that SUV look. Enhancing the SUV feel are the fiber cladding around the round wheel arches, fiber cladding around the footboard, roof rails. and multi spoke sports alloy wheels of 17 inch On the rear the BR-V now comes with larger and all new designed all LED tail lamps that come neatly integrated into the body line along with new rear bumper with integrated faux skid plates and a neat rear spoiler.

All New Honda BR-V Interior’s 

In terms of interiors the BR-V for Indonesia gets an all black interior theme with brushed metal faux inserts. You get an all new dash, new detailed instrument cluster and updated 7 inch AVN touchscreen system. Seats get black leather upholstery. 1st and 2nd row passengers get arm rest, small items storage, cup holder in the console area, sun visor with makeup mirror and lamp, storage compartment with many pockets behind the seat front passenger, 8 water bottle holders and third row seats that can be folded up to 50/50.

All New Honda BR-V Engine

Powering the All New Honda BR-V is the 1.5L i-VTEC Petrol engine that now makes 121PS of power and 145Nm of torque. Transmission options include a manual and a CVT automatic.

All New Honda BR-V Advanced Features

The All New Honda BR-V is also equipped with advanced features such as Remote Engine Start which functions to start the vehicle engine and air conditioning automatically before entering the vehicle. Other features, such as the Walk-Away Auto Lock function to lock the door automatically when the driver has walked at least 2 meters or more from the car, Honda LaneWatch which gives the driver a wider view of the blind spot area, Smart Entry System to make it easier to enter the vehicle without using a key and Auto Foldable Side Door Mirror.

In terms of safety, the All New Honda BR-V is now equipped with Honda SENSING. Honda SENSING is a series of safety technologies that provide comprehensive protection for drivers and passengers by providing warnings to automatically take action to reduce the risk of accidents. Honda SENSING technology on the All New Honda BR-V includes: Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Collision Mitigation Brake System (CMBSTM), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS, Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Auto-High Beam, 6 air bags etc.
All New Honda BR-V Competition
Globally the Honda BR-V competes against the likes of the Toyota Avanza, Daihatsu Xenia and upcoming Kia MPV while here in India it goes up mainly against the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Maruti Suzuki XL-6. Will Honda get back the BR-V into the Indian markets? Well we very well think so.
