MG has revealed two electric concepts at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, previewing contrasting directions for its future portfolio. The compact MG GO! is aimed at the affordable electric hatchback segment, while the dramatic Cyber Concept explores the idea of a performance-oriented flagship SUV.

MG GO! Concept

The GO! is a B-segment electric hatchback designed at MG’s Advanced Design Centre in London. Its compact proportions, prominent wheel arches, clean surfaces and upright lighting give it a youthful appearance, while selected details are said to reference the classic MGB GT without turning the car into a retro recreation.

MG has confirmed that the concept previews a production electric hatchback expected to arrive in global markets in 2027. It is likely to sit below the MG4 and compete with smaller EVs such as the Renault 5, Citroën ë-C3 and upcoming Kia EV2. Battery capacity, motor output, range and charging figures have not been announced.

MG Cyber Concept

The Cyber Concept takes a very different approach. It is a low-slung D-segment electric SUV with a coupe-style roofline, wide stance and strongly sculpted bodywork.

Its design draws inspiration from the MG EX181 land-speed-record car and builds on the more emotional identity introduced by the Cyberster roadster. MG has not disclosed technical specifications or confirmed whether the SUV will enter production, so it currently remains a design study demonstrating how the brand’s sporting character could translate into a larger EV.

India Relevance

Neither concept has been confirmed for India. The GO!, however, could eventually be relevant for JSW MG Motor India as a compact EV positioned between the Comet EV and Windsor EV.

A production version of the Cyber Concept would likely sit at the premium end of the range and could potentially be retailed through the MG Select network. Any India launch discussion remains speculative for now.

MotorWorldIndia Take

The GO! is clearly the more commercially significant concept, offering an early look at MG’s upcoming entry-level global EV. The Cyber Concept plays a different role, adding performance and aspiration to a brand currently better known for practicality and value.
