Tata Motors has officially unveiled the 2026 Tata Punch Facelift, marking the first major update for India’s popular micro-SUV since its debut. With refreshed styling inspired by newer Tata SUVs, more features, improved safety, and expanded powertrain options, the updated Punch aims to strengthen Tata’s dominance in the entry-level SUV space.

Variants, Prices & Bookings

The Tata Punch facelift is offered in six personas: Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Accomplished and Accomplished Plus S. Notably, the Accomplished Plus trim replaces the earlier Creative variant to align with Tata’s larger SUVs.

Introductory ex-showroom prices (Petrol MT) start at ₹5.59 lakh for the Smart variant and go up to ₹8.99 lakh for the Accomplished Plus S. Buyers can choose between petrol, turbo-petrol and CNG powertrains, with manual and AMT gearboxes available. Bookings for the new Punch are now open across India.

The 2026 Punch facelift adopts a cleaner, more modern design inspired by the Punch EV. Key highlights include revised LED lighting, a sharper front bumper, new 16-inch alloy wheels, and a connected LED tail-lamp strip at the rear. The SUV stance remains intact with squared wheel arches and chunky cladding.

Dimensionally, the Punch measures 3827 mm in length, 1742 mm in width and 1615 mm in height, with a 2445 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance has been increased to 193 mm, reinforcing its go-anywhere appeal. New colour options include Coorg Clouds, Bengal Rouge, Pristine White, Caramel, Daytona Grey and Cyantific Blue.

Interior, Features & Boot Space

Inside, the dashboard layout remains familiar but gets meaningful upgrades. The highlight is a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with slimmer bezels and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other updates include a new 2-spoke steering wheel, dual-tone upholstery, front and rear armrests, and improved rear under-thigh support.

Boot space stands at 366 litres in petrol versions, while the CNG variant offers 210 litres.

Safety & Powertrains

Safety continues to be a strong point, with 6 airbags now standard, along with ESC, hill-hold assist, TPMS, ISOFIX mounts, and rain-sensing wipers. The Punch facelift retains its 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

Under the hood, options include a 1.2-litre petrol, 1.2-litre petrol CNG, and a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 120 PS and 170 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Importantly, Tata now offers a CNG + AMT combination, a rare convenience-focused setup in this segment.
