Auto Expo 2020 : Skoda brings back the Octavia VRS, introduces its new range

Skoda Octavia VRS has returned to the Indian market in its latest avatar, the car maker has also introduced its latest range which includes the Rapid TSI, Karoq, latest generation Superb and the Vision IN Concept at the on going Auto Expo 2020 in New Delhi.

The iconic Skoda Octavia VRS comes with a 245 horses under its belt with an agile and secure chassis, the ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS 245 is a perfect blend of a sporty and a safe drive. One simply needs to press the RS Mode button to sharpen the car’s response and accentuate the sporty engine.

The ŠKODA KODIAQ gets a more powerful 2.0 TSI engine. In combination with a robust powertrain, the new KODIAQ features a plethora of ŠKODA design elements like narrow raked headlights which flow seamlessly into the radiator grille and ŠKODA lettering.

The highlight at the Skoda stall was the Vision IN Concept Compact SUV. ŠKODA VISION IN celebrates its world premiere at the Auto Expo 2020: The Vision IN blurs the line between beauty and functionality. It is a vehicle tailored to meet the aspirations of the subcontinent and testifies an interplay of the Czech Bohemian glass work as well as the traditional Kalamkari art.

The ŠKODA VISION IN concept study is 4,256 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2,671 mm; its height is 1,589 mm. The VISION IN is powered by a modern and efficient petrol engine. The 1.5 TSI delivering 110 kW (150 PS) transfers its maximum torque of 250 Nm to the front wheels via a 7 speed DSG. It takes the concept study 8.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. Its top speed is 195 km/h. The VISION IN features 7.5J×19 alloy wheels fitted with 235/45 R19 tyres.
