Honda Launches 2017 CBR650F Priced at ₹ 7.3 Lakh
Honda has launched the 2017 CBR650F in India and priced it at ₹ 7.3 Lakh. First seen at the EICMA the 2017 CBR650F now gets BS-IV complaint and gets a host of other stuff on it. Incidentally Honda has priced this updated CBR650F a bit lower than the older version which should be helping it get off the shelf a lot faster.
Speaking about the new launch, HMSI – Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Yadvinder Singh Guleria said, “The new CBR650F delivers a strong dose of CBR series sporting intent and style. With a great combination of sporty style & powerful performance of inline 4 cylinder engine, CBR650F has got a long list of enthusiastic riders. The new CBR650F offers additional value at no increase in price from its previous generation. We are confident, the enthusiast will feel the rush and get delighted with new ride & excitement.”
On the cosmetic front the 2017 CBR650F borrows a lot from the elder brother CBR1000RR. A sharper looking fairing with LED clear headlight comes in, revised tail section with LED stop lamp and the 4-in-1 side-mounted exhaust comes with a dual-pass internal structure the older one came with a triple-pass unit. This should help in improving the exhaust note we are told. CBR 650F now comes with a new 41mm Showa Dual Bending Type Bend Fork in the front and single-tube, monoshock suspension unit with 7-stage spring preload adjustment with aluminium swingarm on the rear. The brakes also get update to new dual-piston Nissin front calipers and sintered metal pads on 320 mm dual hydraulic front discs. The rear gets a 240 mm hydraulic disc with a single-piston caliper and resin mold pads.
On the technical front the 2017 CBR650F comes powered by the 649cc, DOHC inline, four-cylinder engine and makes 86PS of power mated to the 6-speed transmission.
The 2017 CBR650F will compete with the Kawasaki Ninja 650, Benelli TNT 600GT and the Kawaski Z900. The 2017 CBR650F is available in two colour options, Millennium Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.
