Honda launches the BS-6 compliant Civic Diesel at Rs.20.75 Lakh

Honda has launched the BS-6 compliant version of the Civic today. The Honda Civic Diesel that now gets a BS-6 complaint engine is available in two trims as the VX MT priced at Rs. 20,74,900 while the top end fully loaded ZX MT trim is priced at Rs. 22,34,900 ex Showroom Delhi. Honda had opened bookings for the BS-6 Civic Diesel on the 16th of July across the country. The Petrol version of the Honda Civic has been BS-6 compliant since day one from its launch in March 2019.

The BS-6 compliant Diesel variant of Civic is powered by the 1.6L i-DTEC Diesel Turbo engine of Earth Dream Technology series that hits out 120 PS@4000 rpm with a maximum torque of 300 Nm@2000 rpm. The Diesel Honda Civic BS-6 gets only the option of a 6-speed manual transmission. The company claims a overall fuel efficiency of 23.9kmpl on the Diesel Civic.

The BS-6 Petrol version of the Honda Civic comes with a 1.8L i-VTEC engine mated to Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The Petrol Civic hits out 120Ps of power and 174Nm of torque. The company claims a overall fuel efficiency of 16.5kmpl on the Petrol Civic.
