Jeep Compass all set to be launched on 31st of July, 2017

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India had earlier unveiled its made for India SUV Jeep Compass. The company had also announced the opening of pre-bookings for its Jeep Compass. We have already reviewed the Jeep Compass which you can read here. With an extensive road test, we have only good things to talk about the muscular SUV from Jeep and have come away impressed.

Now, it has been confirmed by the company that Jeep Compass will be launched in the country on 31st of July, 2017. With this, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be all set to embark on one of its most critical task in the country; a task which Fiat Chrysler cannot afford to lose.

The Jeep Compass is being offered with two powertrain options – the 160+ HP, 250 Nm Multi-air petrol and the 170+ HP, 350 Nm, Diesel. The SUV will also come with options of the 6-speed manual transmission (Petrol and Diesel) and the 7-speed Dual Dry Clutch Technology Automatic or DDCT (Petrol).

Fiat Chrysler India has managed to equip a lot of features on the Jeep Compass SUV to make it more appealing to its target market.The number of features include the Jeep Active Drive and Selec-Terrain Traction Management System, Driveline Disconnect Technology (DDT), Electric Parking Brake (EPB) and Frequency Selective Damping (FSD).

Safety features include ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Dynamic Steering Torque, Hill Start Assist, Adaptive Brake Lights and Panic Brake Assist. The top of the line Jeep Compass Limited 4×4 will come equipped with six airbags and dual stage passenger airbags.

The make or break model for FCA has its task cut out when it is going to be launched on 31st of July, 2017. A capable SUV as it is and with a renowned Jeep brand as its parent, the Jeep Compass has all the ingredients to succeed in the market. The only defining thing would be its pricing.
