LIVE – 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Launched at Rs. 6.35 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2022 Baleno in India with prices starting at Rs. 6.35 Lakh. The latest Baleno comes with a host on updates and changes on the outside and inside and will be available in 5 trims and 6 color options to choose from and goes on sale across NEXA outlets and also available online. The Premium Hatchback has been on sale in India since 2015 and has been selling in huge numbers.
In terms of exteriors the 2022 Baleno now comes with a bolder wider grille that Maruti Suzuki calls as NEXWave Grille, new LED projector headlights that now get new design DRL that is called as NEXTre DRL’s, new design front bumper with LED white fog lamps, new design 16 inch dual tone alloys. At the rear you get a all new design LED tail lamps that extend themselves into the bootlid along with new design rear bumper and a large rear spoiler.
On the interiors the 2022 Baleno comes with a long list of features that include an all new dual tone dashboard, all new 9 inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, an Arkamys-sourced music system, Heads-Up Display (HUD), cruise control, rear AC vents, height-adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control, and six airbags. The facelifted Baleno also gets the latest version of Suzuki Connect.
Powering the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine with idle start-stop technology that makes 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual unit and an AMT unit. The MT and AMT variants are claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 22.35kmpl and 22.94kmpl, respectively. In terms of dimensions, the premium hatchback measures 3,990mm in length, 1,745mm in width, and 1,500mm in height, while the wheelbase stands at 2,520mm.
In terms of safety the 2022 Baleno comes with 6 airbags** (driver, co-driver, side and curtain), ESP and Hill Hold Assist Maruti Suzuki Baleno gets Dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Driver & Co-driver seat belt reminders, rear parking sensors & high-speed alert system as standard across all variants.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift is offered in four variants including Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Customers can choose from six colours that include Nexa Blue, Splendid Silver, Opulent Red, Grandeur Grey, Luxe Beige, and Pearl Arctic White.
