Tata Motors have launched the highly anticipated Micro SUV the PUNCH today with prices starting at Rs. 5.49 Lakh for the entry level manual transmission Pure trim.  The Punch is available in Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, Creative. Every trim except the Pure has an option og upgrading to the AMT transmission at Rs. 60,000. You also have the option of of getting the customization packs  starting at Rs. 30,000. The Tata Punch is also the safest car in India receiving 5 Starts from Global NCAP during their crash test.

You can choose the Tata Punch from 7 body color options namely Orcus White, Daytona Grey, Calypso Red, Tornado Blue, Tropical Mist, Atomic Orange, and Meteor Bronze. The Tata Punch is built on the Light Flexible Advanced (ALFA) Architecture which it also shares with the Altroz. The Tata Punch comes powered with the 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, three-cylinder, Revotron petrol engine that produces 85bhp at 6,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 3,300rpm. This engine comes mated to either a five-speed manual unit or an AMT unit. The AMT variants also come with traction pro mode. In terms of exterior design, the Tata Punch comes with a split headlamp design with the LED DRLs placed up and the lower unit houses the halogen projector headlamp along with dual-tone bumpers, fog lights, single slat grille, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, C-pillar mounted rear door handles, 90-degree opening doors, LED tail lamps. The Tata Punch comes with a ground clearance of 190mm unladen and 165mm fully loaded.

Tata Motors states that the Tata Punch has been engineered at Tata Motors’ manufacturing facility in Pune, with more than 90% automation in the weld line incorporating some of the latest welding and joinery technologies, the Tata Punch is engineered to offer the best ride on rough surfaces. It has been extensively tested over 2 million km using more than 150 prototypes through some of harshest terrains stretching from the hot and arid environs of Rajasthan to the high altitude and extremely cold and tough terrains of Ladakh from temperatures ranging from -10°C to +50°C and at altitudes up to 18,000ft.
