Mercedes-AMG GT63 SE Performance Launched in India at ₹3.30 Crore
India’s number One Premium car maker Mercedes-Benz has launched the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance in India priced at ₹3.30 Crore. The performance sports-tourer was launched at the Buddh race track at a special media event. This becomes the German brand’s most powerful production AMG in its entire history.
Powering this beast is a 639bhp, 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine along with a electric motor that produces an additional output of 204bhp, taking the combined power output figures to 843bhp and 1400Nm of torque. Shifting duties are handled by the AMG Speedshift MCT 9 speed automatic unit. This four-door sports coupe Speed demon can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 2.9 seconds, all the way up to a top speed of 316kmph making it a perfect race circuit sports car. Charging of the 6.1kWh Lithium Ion battery is via the onboard charger. You can also drive this beast in the all Electric mode for 12kms.
When compared to the regular AMG GT, the 63 S E Performance version gets visual tweaks in the form of revised front and rear bumpers, a charging port on the rear bumper, new alloy wheels, and new exhausts. The front sports the AMG grille with vertical slats and Multi beam LED headlamps. The face comes with a wide air-dam along with a low slung bumper.
The sides is stylised with 20 inch or 21 inch wheels with AMG alloys and AMG brakes. You also get AMG stripes on the sides along with a sport-back styling that makes the sides more stylish.
The rear profile is stylised with twin trapezoid exhausts along with slim wraparound LED tail lamps, charging port and an electrical retractable spoiler.
In terms of interiors the AMG GT 63 S E Performance comes loaded with two 12.4-inch displays that make the infotainment system and digital instrument console and AMG-specific equipment which include AMG sport seats, AMG steering wheel, sports pedals and lots more. Other goodies included on the package include 64 color ambient light, 640 watt Brumester surround sound system with 14 speakers, heated front seats, air balance package, thermatic climate control,
Drive features include 7 drive modes which include slippery, individual, comfort, sport, sport +, electric and race. You also get AMG Track Pace virtual race engineer, blind spot assist, adaptive headlamps, heads-up display, active park assist, 360 degree camera and mirror package, AMG Ride Control +, Multi chamber air suspension, AMG dynamic select along with AMG rear axle steering to name a few.
