Okaya Ferrato Reveals Disruptor Electric Motorcycle, Priced at Rs 1.60 Lakh; Features 4 kWh Battery, Provides 129 KM Range
Okaya, a battery manufacturer that ventured into the electric two-wheeler domain a few years ago, has introduced an electric motorcycle. Named the Disruptor, this motorcycle is the inaugural product under Okaya EV’s latest ‘Ferrato’ sub-brand. The Okaya Ferrato Disruptor is now available in India for Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, excluding state subsidies), with deliveries of the Ferrato slated to kick off by August 2024, according to the company’s announcement.

The Disruptor emerges as a full-faired motorcycle, boasting a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension. It comes equipped with disc brakes at both ends, featuring a combi-brake system (CBS) instead of anti-lock brakes (ABS). Rolling on 17-inch alloy wheels, it offers a substantial onboard storage of 16 liters.
Nestled within the Disruptor’s frame is a 4 kWh LFP battery, delivering a range of up to 129 kilometers on a single charge. Charging the motorcycle to full capacity takes approximately five hours, according to Okaya. The battery is backed by a warranty of 3 years or 30,000 kilometers, whichever comes earlier.
Powering the Disruptor is a mid-mounted permanent magnet motor, delivering a nominal output of 3.3 kW and a peak output of 6.37 kW. Power is transmitted through a chain drive system, enabling the Disruptor to achieve a claimed top speed of 95 kmph. The bike offers three ride modes – Eco, City, and Sports – and includes a reverse assist mode for added convenience.
