  1. How do you see the electric motorcycle segment growing in India over the next few years?

The electric motorcycle segment in India is at an inflection point. While scooters led early EV adoption, performance-oriented riders are now seeking credible electric alternatives in the 125cc–200cc category. As battery technology improves, charging becomes faster, and real-world performance matches ICE benchmarks, we expect strong growth in the mid-segment motorcycle category—particularly among urban, aspirational riders looking for both performance and sustainability.

  1. What key factors will drive faster adoption of electric motorcycles in India?

Faster adoption will be driven by four core factors: real-world range confidence, fast and convenient charging, strong performance parity with petrol motorcycles and reliable after-sales support. Equally important is technological trust—accurate range indication, battery safety, thermal stability, and transparent ownership costs. When EVs eliminate range anxiety and deliver a seamless ownership experience, adoption accelerates naturally.

  1. How important are reliability and after-sales support in building long-term trust in the EV market?

Reliability and after-sales support are critical in a technology-driven category like EVs. Customers are not just buying a vehicle, they are buying into a new ecosystem.Robust battery management, predictive diagnostics, strong thermal engineering, assured spare parts availability, trained technicians, and telematics-enabled remote monitoring create confidence. Long-term trust will be built on consistency of performance and responsive lifecycle support.

  1. What is Samarth E-Mobility and what inspired its journey?

Samarth E-Mobility is a technology-first electric motorcycle company built on the philosophy of advanced technology, simplified design and premium experience. The journey began with a vision to create indigenous, high-performance electric mobility solutions tailored specifically for Indian riding conditions. Backed by deep-tech R&D and strong manufacturing capabilities, the company aims to redefine performance in the electric motorcycle segment.

  1. What has the company focused on during its three-year development phase?

Over the past three years, Samarth has focused heavily on in-house R&D, validation, and indigenous technology development. The company has built more than nine critical vehicle components internallyincluding the Battery Pack, BMS, Motor, Motor Controller, Onboard Charger, Intelligent PCM, Instrument Cluster & Telematics, and a proprietary Operating System. Extensive real-world testing, dyno validation, battery lifecycle testing, and consumer research across multiple cities will shape up the final product architecture.

  1. Why has Samarth chosen to focus on electric motorcycles instead of scooters?

Samarth has chosen electric motorcycles because the 125cc–200cc segment represents aspirational, performance-led riders who prioritise torque, speed, design, and technology. While electric scooters have seen early EV growth, the electric motorcycle space remains under-penetrated in the performance category. This creates a strong opportunity to deliver true ICE-equivalent performance with advanced EV intelligencerather than competing in an already crowded commuter scooter market.

  1. What sets Samarth E-Mobility apart from other EV players in the market?

Samarth differentiates itself through deep vertical integration and indigenous innovation. With 100+ R&D professionals, 72+ patents/design registrations, and a 1,50,000+ sq. ft. manufacturing facility, the company has built a full-stack EV ecosystem in-house.Its proprietary OS, AI-enabled Smart BMS, 1500W onboard fast charger, high-performance motor architecture, and telematics-enabled predictive diagnostics position it as a technology-driven electric motorcycle platform, not just an EV assembler. This integrated approach enhances performance, cost control, supply chain resilience, and long-term scalability.

We at Motor World India feel that as India’s EV ecosystem matures, the spotlight is gradually shifting from scooters to performance-focused electric motorcycles. Samarth E-Mobility appears ready to capitalise on this opportunity with a technology-led approach and a strong emphasis on indigenous development. While the company’s first electric motorcycle is yet to be revealed, the roadmap shared by Priyank Rakholiya indicates that Samarth is aiming to deliver a product that blends performance, innovation, and real-world practicality for Indian riders.
