Tata Punch iCNG Launched at ₹7.21 Lakh with Voice controlled Sunroof, Tigor & Tiago also get the Twin Cylinder iCNG Tech
Tata Motors has launched the CNG version of the Punch today with prices starting at ₹7.10 Lakh. The Tata Punch iCNG was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo in Delhi. PRE bookings of the Punch CNG opened earlier this month.
Powering the Tata Punch iCNG is a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, NA petrol engine that gets a five-speed manual transmission mated to it. While in petrol mode the engine makes 84bhp and 113Nm of torque, while CNG mode the power output is 72bhp with 103Nm of torque.
In terms of features, the Tata Punch iCNG comes loaded with features like electric sunroof, six airbags, a twin-cylinder CNG tank, direct start in CNG mode, an auto switch function between fuels, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. In terms of competition the Punch CNG goes up against the recently launched Hyundai EXTER CNG.

The CNG versions of the Tiago and Tigor both also get the unique Twin Cylinder technology on them. The updated Tata Tiago iCNG is priced from ₹6.55 lakh, going up to ₹8.10 lakh for the XZ NRG CNG variant. Meanwhile, the Tata Tigor iCNG is now priced from ₹7.10 lakh, going up to ₹8.95 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
The Tata iCNG twin-cylinder technology comes with two fuel tanks of a capacity of 70 litres combined in place of the spare wheel under the cargo area. This ensures there’s usable space to keep a suitcase, bags and more. The spare wheel is moved to the rear underbelly of the car on either vehicle.
