LIVE! Tata Nexon launched in India at Rs. 5.85 lakhs

Tata Nexon is the company’s 4th new generation product after the Tiago, Tigor and Hexa. It will take on the likes of the Ford EcoSport and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.

Tata Motors has finaly launched the sassy looking new compact SUV, the Nexon, in India. The car has already held a place in our hearts for its stylish looks and the aggressive pricing means that this one is sure to receive some good demand. The Tata Nexon is also the company’s real all-new SUV in a really long time. We drove the car recently and were impressed by the overall feel it offers. It will be offered in 4 trim levels and two engine options. The range will start with the base XE trim, followed by the XM, XT and XZ+ trim levels.

The Tata Nexon comes absolutely packed with features. Some of them include dual tone exteriors, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 16-inch dual tone alloy wheels, 6.5-inch Harman infotainment system with 8 speakers, voice commands for climate control system,rear AC vents, rear parking camera, height adjustable driver seat and a smart key with push button start. A total of 5 colour options have been offered namely – Moroccan Blue, Vermont Red, Seattle Silver, Glasgow Grey and Calgary White. All variants will come with ABS and 2 airbags as standard equipment.

The two engines powering the Tata Nexon are – 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol with 110 PS ans 170 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel with 110 PS and 260 Nm. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox and 3 drive modes – Eco, City and Sport. The car comes with a standard warranty of 2 years or 75,000 kms.
