2017 Skoda Octavia (facelift) launched at Rs. 15.49 lakhs

The 2017 Skoda Octavia gets cosmetic upgrades along with loads of added equipment, one of them being the Hands Free Parking feature.

Skoda India has finally launched the Octavia facelift in India at a starting price of Rs. 15.49 lakhs for the base petrol variant. The car was unveiled last year in October globally. The 2017 Skoda Octavia gets a new front end with the new QuadraLED headlights, glossy black front grille and the new chiseled bonnet. There are new alloy wheels on offer while the rear gets a mildly refreshed bumper and the LED taillight cluster.

The 2017 Skoda Octavia comes with a similar dashboard layout but now boasts of premium soft touch plastics and a new 8-inch infotainment system. The new infotainment system supports Apple Car Play, Android Auto and MirrorLink. The company has launched a new app called Boss Connect that allows the owner to control the entire infotainment system via a smartphone. The interior also gets new ambient lighting with 10 colour options. Engine options have been carried forward unchanged which means you get a 1.4 TSI petrol mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, a 1.8 TSI petrol mated to a 7-speed DSG autobox and a 2.0 TDI diesel that is available with either a 6-speed DSG automatic or a manual gearbox.
