2022 Aprilia SR125 & SR160 launched in India starting at Rs. 1.07 Lakh
Aprilia India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the new 2022 SR 125 and the SR 160 with prices starting from Rs 1,07,595 onwards. The updated range now comes with features like LED headlight and a fully-digital instrument cluster as compared to the earlier models that came with halogen lights and a semi-digital console. The scooters also come with an redesigned taillight. The Italian brand says the sharper design of the new model should appeal to younger buyers.
The new SR 125 is available in a single variant. The SR 160 is available in three options – Standard, Carbon, and Race.

The scooters come with a Global Design language, RS-GP Inspired Graphics in SR-Race, Position Lights, Dual style Seats, Knuckle Guards, New Raised Rear grab, Carbon Texture components, front 220 mm hydraulic dual caliper disc brake along with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking system)and broader tubeless tyres with big 14” alloy wheels. Powering the new SR 160 is the 160 CC BSVI 3V Tech EFI engine, with 11 PS power at 7600 RPM & torque 11.6NM at 6000 rpm. While the SR125 gets powered with the 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine that produces 9.78bhp at 7,700rpm and 9.70Nm at 6,000rpm.

The suspension on all SR variants includes telescopic front forks and a single spring at the back. The braking on the scooters is a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the back. The SR 125 uses a combined braking system while the SR 160 gets a single-channel antilock braking system. All variants use 14-inch alloy wheels on both ends. The new SR 160 range will be available on White, Blue, Grey, Red and Matt Black colors.
