2024 Bajaj Chetak Electric Launched with Larger Battery & Added Range

Indian Two Wheeler giant Bajaj has launched the 2024 version of the Chetak Electric with the Chetak Premium being the top of the line variant. The Chetak Premium is priced at Rs. 1.35 Lakh while the Urbane variant is priced at Rs. 1.15 Lakh Ex Showroom. The Electric Scooter also gets lots of updates in terms of features, tech and specs.

At its current price, the updated Chetak Premium now costs about Rs 20,000 more than the recently introduced Chetak Urbane.

In term of design the Bajaj Chetak electric in its latest avatar carries forward the design language of its previous model. The all metal body which is its key USP comes with smooth curves and a round LED headlamp. There are also twin DRL LED placed on its apron. With this update the Scooter also gets a larger under seat storage space. Many silver trim elements from the outgoing model have been replaced by blacked-out elements such as the headlamp surround, indicator surround, grab handle garnish and even the wheels. While the 2024 Bajaj Chetak is available in Blue, Brooklyn Black, and a pretty Hazelnut body color option to choose from.

Urbane – Coarse Grey, Cyber White, Brooklyn Black and Indigo Metallic Blue

Premium – Hazelnut, Indigo Metallic Blue and Brooklyn Black

Bajaj has also introduced the TecPac version on the Chetak Premium. These versions will get additional connectivity features like call alerts, display themes, music controls and also turn by turn navigation. Also added to the feature list of the 2024 Chetak are Hill Hold, Sports Mode, Reverse Mode. What would attract many towards considering the Chetak now is the inclusion of a brand new 5 inch TFT color screen that replaces the older unit giving an overall stylish and trendy look to the scooter. Other features include auto cancelling turn indicators, music and call control, electronic lock, seat switches, and also a helmet box lamp.

Speaking of the updates on the technical front there are many, you now get a larger capacity battery pack of 3.2 kWh. The New Chetak can do top speeds of around 73kmph with this new heart which was previously 63kmph. The total ride range has also gone up now to 127kms due to this update. You can charge this scooter in just 30 mins using a 800W charger that should be good for a ride range of 15.6kms. In terms of competition the New Bajaj Chetak goes up against the likes of the Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube, Ather 450X, Simple One, Hero Vida to name a few.
