BMW Motorrad Enters IBW17 in Style, Launches 2 Motorcycles

BMW Motorrad made a mega entry into the fifth edition of India Bike Week thats currently underway in Goa. This is the first time that BMW Motorrad has taken part in India Bike Week (IBW). ‘Make Life a Ride’ is what BMW Motorrad call their pavilion. The Premium German motorcycle maker also launched the new BMW K 1600 B and the new BMW R nineT Racer IBW.

At the BMW Motorrad pavilion the ground level displayed 14 bikes – BMW S 1000 RR, BMW R 1200 R, BMW S 1000 R, BMW R nineT, BMW R nineT Scrambler, BMW R 1200 GS Adventure, BMW R 1200 GS, BMW S 1000 XR, BMW K 1600 GTL, BMW R 1200 RT, the new BMW K 1600 B and the new BMW R nineT Racer. The winners of the first BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy qualifier held in India were also present at the event and were felicitated for their achievements. Mr. Sanket Shanbhag from Satara, Mr. Suprej Venkat from Coimbatore and Mr. Winston Lee from Mumbai will go on to enter the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy Finals in Mongolia in 2018.

The Cafe Racer retro styled BMW R nineT Racer comes powered by a 1170 Twin Boxer engine with 110hp of power and 116Nm of torque. It has a max speed of 200kmph. The BMW nineT Racer is priced at Rs. 17.30 Lakh ex showroom and would be available across BMW Motorrad outlets imported in CBU format.

BMW Motorrad also launched the K 1600B Cruiser. B stands for Bagger. The K1600 B comes powered with a 1649cc 6-cylinder engine with 160Hp and 175Nm of torque. The BMW K 1600B is priced at Rs. 29 Lakh ex showroom and would be in imported as CBU format.
