BMW revels the 2020 G 310 GS revealed as it rolls out from the assembly line

BMW Motorrad is all set to launch the new 2020 BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS BSVI on October 8th 2020. The German manufacturer has today revealed official images of the 2020 G 310 GS rolling of the TVS Motors assembly line.

What is visible is that this the BSVI version comes with loads of distinctive updates. The changes include an all-LED lighting with a redesigned headlight assembly which now gets a lot larger in dimensions and also lot sleeker in design. Also visible apart grom the all new paint and graphics is the all new instrumental cluster that is a lot larger and bold, also on offer are large dominating USD forks in Gold finish. The five-spoke alloys come with the same design and styling like the outgoing model. Also brand new are the panels on the 2020 BMW G 310 GS will surely remind you of the Rally E badge if observed closely.

Powering the new BMW GS 310 GS is the BS6 complaint 310cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 4-stroke engine with four valves, two overhead camshafts . Other tweaks include ride by wire technology and an updated exhaust system. The engine overall will remain the same and finger followers, wet sump lubrication.

BMW had initially launched the motorcycle around five years ago and this is the first major update to the BMW G 310 R and the BMW G 310 GS bikes. India also happens to be the first market to get this updated model.

In terms of features the G310 and the G 310GS apart from the new updated  TFT LCD instrument console also will get Bluetooth connectivity, navigation via smartphone, a connected vehicle app, etc.

The bikes will retain the same engine as before, i.e. a 313 cc fuel-injected engine albeit upgraded to ensure compliance with the new BS6 norms. Performance figures haven’t been revealed yet, but it is likely to remain either the same or be minimally revised. The outgoing models’ engine belts out a maximum power of 34 bhp along with 28 Nm of torque and is paired to a six-speed gearbox.

What can also be speculated is that with the increase in equipment levels and technology the overall price of the motorcycle would also rise this time around.  The company has also introduced new finance schemes for its upcoming G 310 R, and G 310 GS bikes. With EMIs starting at just Rs 4,500, the new BMWs sure look and sound enticing. BMW Motorrad has also announced that the customers can get their loans pre-approved before the launch at attractive interest rates.
