LIVE! Datsun redi-GO Launched In India At A Mouth Watering Rs. 2.49 Lakhs!
Datsun India has launched the all new redi-GO at a very attractive Rs. 2.49 lakhs ex-showroom, Mumbai. It competes with the Maruti Suzuki Alto and the Renault Kwid.
Datsun’s third offering in India, the redi-GO has been launched in India at a very tempting Rs. 2.49 lakhs in Mumbai. The car will compete in the entry level segment in India which consists of cars like the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Renault Kwid which are the major contributors to the sales in this segment. The Datsun redi-GO is based on the same platform as the Renault Kwid but looks completely different from the aforementioned French hatchback. It has been positioned as an Urban Crossover and boasts of class leading ground clearance. The car in itself look extremely sporty for an entry level offering and will definitely attract customers on basis of this attribute alone.
The Datsun redi-GO has sharp looking headlights and LED DRLs offered on the top end ‘S’ variant which is a segment first. On the insides, the interiors come in a grey theme with a familiar looking steering wheel and audio system that supports USB and AUX. Datsun has offered up to 50 different accessories on the redi-GO that can be fitted at the dealer end. Also to make customization easier there are 5 accessory kits on offer namely the Easy Kit – Sporty, Easy Kit – Premium, Urban Kit, Kool Kit and Style Kit. This adds to the many enhancements to the interior and exterior of the car like Art Leather Seat Covers, Steering Wheel Cover, Piano Black Centre Cluster, Mood Light, Reverse Parking Sensors, Roof Rails and Side Body Plastic Moulding to name a few.
The Datsun redi-GO is powered by the same 800cc 3-cylinder petrol motor that also powers the Renault Kwid. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and together promises a fuel efficiency of 25.17 kmpl under standard testing conditions. It accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 15.9 seconds and has a top speed of 140 kmph. On the safety front, the redi-GO is offered with a driver airbag but no ABS on the top-end ‘S’ variant. The Datsun redi-GO is available in 5 colour options – Lime, Ruby, White, Silver and Grey.
