Ducati Monster 797 & Multistrada 950 to launch in India on 14th June!

The Ducati Monster 797 and Multistrada 950 are the entry level most affordable offerings from the Ducati Monster and Ducati Multistrada categories.

Dates to the launch of the Ducati Monster 797 and Multistrada 950 have finally been revealed. Both these entry level offerings will be launched in India on the 14th June 2017. The Ducati Monster 797 and the Multistrada 950 were first showcased at the 2016 EICMA held in Milan, Italy. These small big bikes will compete with the likes of the Triumph Tiger series, Triumph, Street Triple and the Kawasaki Z800 in India.

The Ducati Monster 797 retains its iconic shape with the large circular headlight with LED position lights, LED taillights, wide handlebar, muscular tank and a double-sided swing-arm. It is powered by a 803cc mill that churns out 75 HP of max power and 68 Nm of max twist. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The basic frame of the motorcycle is shared with the Scrambler which is a steel trellis one, although in this case the wheelbase is shorter at 1,435mm. The Ducati Monster 797 is available in three colour options worldwide – Star White Silk, with red frame and wheels, the classic Ducati Red, with black frame and wheels and smart Dark Stealth with black frame and wheels.

The Ducati Multistrada 950 is powered by a 937cc L-Twin motor that develops 113 HP and 96 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is the lightest in the entire Enduro line-up from Ducati. The bike comes with the Ducati Safety Pack (DSP) that includes ABS, Traction Control and 4 riding modes – Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro. On the looks front, the styling is borrowed from the elder Multistrada 1200 with a protruding beak, adjustable screen and 2 wings. The Ducati Multistrada 950 is available in 2 colour options – Star White Silk and Ducati Red (with a grey frame and matte grey rims).
