Harley Davidson X440 Launched in India at Rs. 2.29 Lakh, becomes most affordable Harley model
Hero MotoCorp has launched the Harley Davidson X440 in India with prices starting at Rs. 2.29 Lakh. This is the first model from the tie -up between Hero MotoCorp and Harley Davidson. The Harley x440 is available in 4 options Harley Davidson X440 Mustard Denim at ₹2,29,000, Harley Davidson X440 Metallic Dark Silver at ₹2,49,000, Harley Davidson X440 Metallic Thick Red at ₹2,49,000 and the top of the line Harley Davidson X440 Metallic Matte Black priced at ₹2,69,000 all ex showroom. The Harley-Davidson X440 has been co-developed by Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp and Hero MotoCorp will handle the nationwide sales, service, and merchandising of the motorcycle. This motorcycle has been positioned as the most budget-friendly motorcycle in Harley-Davidson’s lineup.
In terms of looks the X440 comes with the family Harley Davidson DNA styling with classic teardrop-shaped fuel tank with iconic badging. The X440 comes with latest technology LED lighting along with premium switchgear. Harley-Davidson badging seen within the headlamp highlights the brand’s commitment to delivering a high-quality and refined experience. It has a single-piece seat kinks that flows into the pillion section. The motorcycle flanks meaty grab rails on either side and a simple looking exhaust system.
Powering the Harley Davidson X440 is the all-new 440cc oil-cooled, long-stroke BSVI (OBD II) and E20 compliant engine that churns out 27PS of power and 38Nm of peak torque. This engine gets a slipper clutch for the 6-speed transmission unit for enhanced rider control. Harley-Davidson X440 comes with a 320mm front disc and a 240mm disc at the rear. The X 440 comes with a 13.5-litre fuel tank and weighs a total of 190.5kg with a full tank of gas. The motorcycle also features a dual-channel ABS system and has a overall ground clearance of 170mm with a seat height of 805mm. The Harley X440 rides on MRF Zapper Hyke tyres with a profile of 100/90-18 in the front and 140/70-17 at the rear.
The Harley-Davidson X440 features a classic 3.5″ speedometer that comes with TFT digital display. Riders can choose between two display modes: Day and Night, ensuring optimal visibility in different lighting conditions. You also get the ‘Connect 2.0’ feature, available on the S variant, a feature that provides more than 25 notifications on the display and is complemented by a mobile application. The ‘Connect 2.0’ feature available on the Harley-Davidson X440 offers a comprehensive range of safety, security, vehicle health, and convenience functionalities. This advanced system provides riders with various safety alerts, including ignition, panic, crash, topple, and low fuel alerts.
For enhanced security, it offers theft and battery removal alerts, geofence alerts, and even remote immobilization capabilities. The vehicle health aspect includes features such as vehicle diagnostics, malfunction alerts, service booking, and history. Additionally, the driving report feature provides alerts for over-speeding and trip analysis, allowing riders to monitor their driving performance. The Bluetooth-enabled system offers turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and a ‘find my vehicle’ feature. Finally, the Connect 2.0 feature encompasses generic and convenience features such as a fuel indicator, roadside assistance, and dealer location information. With these functionalities, the Harley-Davidson X440 ensures a connected and convenient riding experience for its riders.
