Honda Shine 125 with OBD2 launched in India at Rs. 79,800

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has introduced the BS-6 Phase II OBD2-compliant Shine 125 in India at Rs.79,800.The 2023 Honda Shine is available in two variants – base model with drum brakes and disc brake version that is priced at Rs.83,800. Both variants are available in five colour options – Black, Geny Gray Metallic, Matte Axis Gray, Rebel Red Metallic, and Decent Blue Metallic.

In terms of looks the 2023 Honda Shine 125 continues with its commuter yet functional design which comes with a single-pod headlight with a body-coloured cowl, body-coloured front fender, single-piece saddle, side-slung exhaust, five-spoke alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, chrome elements on the headlight cowl, side panels, and muffler heat cover.

In terms of the technical specifications the 2023 Honda SHine gets its power from the 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with fuel injection, enhanced Smart Power (eSP) and Honda ACG starter. As mentioned this engine is now OBD2 and E20 fuel-compliant. This engine gets mated to a five-speed gearbox. Also on the feature list are engine start/stop switch, an integrated high beam flasher, DC headlamp for brighter illumination at low speeds, an external fuel pump, and a combined braking system with an equaliser.

The Honda Shine continues to come with telescopic front forks and five-step adjustable rear springs. You now get Honda’s special 10-year warranty package (3 years standard + 7 years optional extended warranty).
