Jeep Compass Crosses 10,000 Bookings, FCA Increases Production

Jeep Compass bookings have crossed the 10,000 figure mark; this was announced by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles today in an official statement released by them. Jeep Compass has become the comeback vehicle for FCA in India which has brought them out of the red and given them the much needed fresh blood. The Jeep Compass was launched on the 31st of July with deliveries starting on 6th August.

Commenting on the milestone Kevin Flynn – President and Managing Director, FCA India said, “The Made in India Jeep® Compass has gained remarkable traction in the market since we opened the order books in June. We are giving equal priority to Jeep® Compass retails, expanding our sales and service network, and strengthening our Mopar-driven after-sales operations.”

The Jeep Compass comes powered by a 2.0L MultiJet Diesel and 1.4L Multi-Air Turbo Petrol. The Diesel engine has 173PS and 350 Nm of torque while the Petrol engine makes 162PS and 250Nm of torque. The Diesel version of the Compass gets a 6-speed manual transmission while the Petrol comes with both he 6-speed manual as well as the 7-speed DDCT (Dry Dual Clutch Technology) or Automatic Transmission. The Compass is available in three trims – Sport, Longitude and Limited and 10 variants, including a 4×2 Turbo Petrol with a 7-speed automatic transmission (DDCT). The Jeep Compass is currently being retailed out of 50 Jeep-flagship and FCA outlets, across 47 cities. FCA is expanding its sales network to 60 outlets by the end of this calendar year.  The Jeep Compass comes with a three-year / 100,000 km manufacturer’s warranty and in addition, a complimentary Road-side Assistance (RSA) package for three (3) years. Customers can avail of an extended warranty program to enjoy additional warranty up to one or two years.


To meet this bumper demand for the Jeep Compass, FCA has increased the production and have also the working shifts to two with six working days a week.
