Launched – Mercedes- Benz E-Class All Terrain Launched in India at Rs. 75 Lakh ex showroom
Mercedes-Benz has launched the E-Class All Terrain in India at a price of Rs. 75 Lakh Ex Showrooms. The E-Class All Terrain was first showcased in India earlier this year at the Auto Expo in Delhi.
The E-Class All Terrain as the name suggests is based on the E-Class sedan with many all terrain touches on it. This vehicle comes with the standard DYNAMIC SELECT along with All-Terrain transmission modes using which Ground clearance can be increased by 35 mm when needed. The E-Class All Terrain comes with expressive exterior and interior design, featuring SUV-style radiator grille, robust body and large light-alloy 19” wheels. The All-Terrain has a powerful and strong appearance which distinguishes it from its classic sedan model.
On the inside the rear seat backrest folds into a 40:20:40 split allowing 1820 litres of storage, cargo function for the second row of seats increases rake angle of the backrest by 10° to accommodate around 30 litres more storage capacity. The E-Class All Terrain E 220 d 4MATIC comes powered by the New OM 654 four-cylinder BS VI compliant diesel engine mated to the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. This engine makes 194hp of power and generates 400Nm of peak torque. This All Terrain E 2220d can do a zero to 100kmph speeds in 8.0 seconds flat.
The 4MATIC all-wheel drive E-Class All-Terrain has unique features like increased ground clearance due to the AIR BODY CONTROL multi-chamber air suspension. It is the most flexible all-rounder designed especially for unpaved roads making it the ultimate choice for a family car. The new model boasts all the intelligent load compartment solutions such as the rear seat cargo position. All E-Class innovations relating to safety, comfort and convenience are available in the all new E-Class All-Terrain.
