Launched – MG Hector Launched at ₹12.18Lakh
MG Motor have launched their very first model for India the Hector SUV in India today. The MG Hector prices starting at ₹12.18 lakhs (Introductory ex-showroom). MG Motor is offering the Hector SUV across three engine options with 11 variants and five colour options right from day one. The pricing includes unique 5 year unlimited mileage warranty with roadside assistance and 5 services.
The MG Hector comes loaded with many innovative segment first features which include a 10.4-inch display for the touchscreen infotainment system, 7.0-inch MID, hill hold and descent control, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, heated ORVMs and 360-degree view parking system to name a few. MG Motor says the Hector is India’s first internet car which comes powered with connected features using the MG iSMART app. Not forgetting the innovative voice controlled features that’s also are the first in its segment.
Engine options on the MG Hector include – 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor with 143PS of power mated with a six-speed manual and DCT automatic gearboxes and a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel with 170PS of power that comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Petrol engine lineup also comes with a 48V hybrid option mated to the 6-speed manual transmission. The Hybrid variant gets around 20Nm more power thanks to the Battrey pack co-powering the engine. Other features on this variant include engine start/stop function and brake-energy regeneration.
The MG Hector rivals the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500 , Tata Harrier, Tata Hexa in its segment and price range.
