LIVE – Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe Now Made in India priced at Rs.76.70 Lakh

Mercedes-Benz has launched its First Made in India AMG model the GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe that rolled out of its Chakan plant today. India’s Number One Luxury car maker Mercedes Benz had recently announced that it would begin assembling AMG range of performance cars in India. Currently, the company produces 10 CKD models across segments from its production line in Chakan, Pune. This the CKD (Complete Knocked Down) unit of the AMG GLC43 Coupe is priced at Rs. 76.70 lakh.

Currently Mercedes-Benzz India AMG lineup for India comprises of the 43, 53, 63, and the GT series in different body styles. Localization reduces the overall cost due to lower import taxes. The lower price benefit is passed on to the buyers.

Powering the AMG GLC 43 Coupe is the 3.0-litre V6 bi-turbo engine that generates 385bhp of power and 520Nm of torque between 2,500rpm to 4,500rpm which is around 23bhp more as compared to its predecessor. This AMG engine is mated to AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission. This beast can do speeds of 0-100kmph in just 4.9-seconds, while the top speed is electronically restricted to 250kmph.

In terms of exteriors the AMG GLC43 Coupe comes with the trademark AMG-specific Panamericana radiator grille with vertical chrome-plated fins. The matte black fins over the air intakes feature trim elements in silver shadow. The headlamps get totally redesigned and now get slimmer LED high-performance headlamps with flare effect for the daytime running lamps (DRL) completing the sporty and aggressive front end. The AMG Coupe drives on 19-inch wheel mounted on AMG alloys while buyers can choose between 19 to 21 inches in size. The rear profile on this Coupe comes with a broad apron, diffuser, and two round twin sports exhausts all of which make the AMG Coupe stand out from the crowd.

In terms of interiors the AMG Coupe comes with AMG sport seats as standard along with black Artico  leather/ Dinamica microfiber with red topstitching. Also loaded on to the AMG Coupe is the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system and five-drive modes – Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Individual.
