Mahindra XUV 300 Turbo Petrol AutoShift launched at Rs. 9.95 Lakh

Mahindra has launched the XUV300 Turbo petrol with the Auto Shift transmission with prices starting price of Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Mahindra XUV 300 AMT transmission can be got in the W6, W8 and W8 (O) trims while the top-spec W8 (O). The top of the line W8(O) trim also comes with the Mahindra’s latest BlueSense Plus connected car technology. The bookings for the XUV300 AutoShift have opened today while the deliveries will commence from  mid-February.

In terms of exteriors the XUV300 looks ditto like the other engine versions and carries forward the same design of the current generation XUV300. What only adds to the exteriors is the addition of the new dual-tone Red and Aquamarine colours on all W8 (O) AutoShift variants. The mid-specs W6, W8, and W8 (O) variants can be got in a new Galaxy Grey exterior colour shade. On the feature list there also is an electric sunroof on the W6 in both manual and automatic variants. The biggest addition on the Mahindra XUV300 is the new Auto Shift transmission which is now available with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine which was previously only available on the diesel version only. This latest generation AMT transmission also gets key features like auto and manual mode, hill start assist, kick-down shifts, adaptive pedal response, and tap-to-switch. Also on the feature list of the AMT transmission is advanced ‘creep’ function which aids a relaxed drive in city congestions and tight parking spots.

Mahindra has also debuted the BlueSense Plus connected car tech with the Mahindra XUV300. It is equipped with remote vehicle controls, location-based services, geofencing, vehicle information alerts, and in-car controls. This connected car technology will be available for both Android and iOS users.

The Mahindra XUV300 competes against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue, and the Kia Sonet in its segment. Watchout for our detailed road test review of the XUV 300 Turbo Petrol AutoShift coming up very soon.
