Just when we thought that the “Limited Edition” team in Maruti is out for a long vacation, they have come back with a bang. And this time the team has chosen Maruti Celerio to play around with. The new Celerio Special Edition has a unique styling and additional equipments over the regular model.
The Maruti Celerio Limited Edition carries special body graphics, body side moulding and door visors. To add even more oomph, Maruti has added chrome garnish around the headlamps, fog lamps, door panels, tailgate and tail lamps.
On the inside, Maruti Suzuki has added a new steering wheel cover to ensure better grip to the driver during spirited driving. Also, the seats are finished with specially designed seat covers with unique upholstery to add up to the luxury quotient. There is also ambient lighting thrown in to setup the lighting inside the car according to one’s taste and mood. One of the cup holders inside carries a tissue box which we understand is again part of the limited edition.
One of the most important feature addition with respect to the Celerio Limited Edition is the inclusion of reverse parking sensors. With many of Celerio buyers being first time buyers, this feature addition is hugely welcoming.
The Maruti Celerio Limited Edition is available in both VXi and ZXi trim levels. The K10B 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine powers the Maruti Celerio and is good enough for 68 kW (91.15 hp) of power and 90 Nm of torque running on petrol. In CNG mode, the maximum power and maximum torque figures drop to 59 kW (79.09 hp) and 78 Nm respectively. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual (petrol-only). The fuel economy of the petrol model is 20.36 km/l. The CNG model returns 31.79 km/kg in CNG mode and 22.02 km/l in petrol mode.
The Maruti Celerio Limited Edition version starts at INR 4.87 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi)
