Maruti Suzuki’s premium sedan Ciaz maintained its position as the bestselling mid-size sedan in the country. Despite the overall segment witnessing lower sales, Ciaz continued to remain the preferred choice of customers, with over 29,000 units sold. The premium sedan sustained its leadership position with over 28% market share in its segment.

Establishing its dominance in the highly competitive mid-size sedan segment, Maruti Suzuki has sold over 2.76 Lakh units of Ciaz cumulatively since its launch. The top end variant of the premium sedan Ciaz contributes more than 50.% to its total sales, whereas automatic variant makes up 17.% of the total sales. This is a testimony of customer preference for a comfortable, spacious, technology-driven and feature-packed sedan.
Understanding the customer’s aspiration for a powerful and bolder design, Maruti Suzuki introduced Ciaz in a brand-new avatar in August 2018. The upgraded premium sedan has been equipped with the new 1.5 litre petrol engine. It is engineered to offer strong performance, class-leading comfort, impactful exteriors and elite interiors along with an array of safety and convenience features. The new Ciaz complies with advanced safety regulations, including pedestrian safety, ahead of Government stipulated timelines. It comes loaded with safety features comprising dual front airbags, ISOFIX child restraint system, high-speed warning alert and ABS with EBD as standard across variants.
