Milestone Alert – Maruti Suzuki Baleno Crosses 5 Lakh Sales Mark in 38 months

Maruti Suzuki Baleno the premium hatchback marks another milestone by achieving 5 lakh sales in a record time of just 38 months. The Baleno was launched in October 2015. Made-in-India Maruti Suzuki Baleno has over 90% of localization and is also the first car to be exported to Japan. Maruti Suzuki also exports the Beleno to Australia, Europe, Latin America and East Asia.

Maruti Suzuki sells the Baleno through their premium sales outlet NEXA and is positioned as a premium compact hatchback that challenges the likes of Hyundai i20 and the Honda Jazz. The Baleno was the 2nd car model to be sold via the NEXA outlets after the S-Cross. The Baleno is available in both 1.2L VVT (83PS & 115Nm) Petrol and 1.3 DDiS (74PS & 190Nm) Diesel engine options and also with the 1.0L Boosterjet (100PS & 150Nm) engine as the Baleno RS for performance enthusiasts. Transmission options on the Baleno include 5-speed manual gearbox on the Petrol and Diesel and an optional CVT option on the Petrol variant. The Baleno also comes loaded with safety features like dual airbags and ABS with EBD,front seatbelt pre-tensioners and force limiters as standard safety features across the entire line-up. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno was also the first cars from the company to get Apple CarPlay, LED daytime running lamps, LED taillamps.
