Preview: Mercedes Benz India to launch the GLC43 AMG Coupe on 21st July

The Mercedes Benz GLC43 AMG Coupe is the fourth AMG car to wear the ’43’ badge afetr the GLE43 Coupe, SLC43 AMG and the C43 AMG in India.

Mercedes Benz India is all set to launch the GLC 43 AMG Coupe in India this month. Late last year, the company has launched the C43 AMG sedan at Rs. 75 lakhs ex-showroom. The GLC43 AMG Coupe is expected to be priced at around Rs. 90 lakhs. The SUV Coupe will be powered by the same engine that power other 43 AMG series cars. The motor is a 3.0-litre V6 biturbo petrol motor that churns out 367 HP and 520 Nm. It comes with a 9-speed automatic gearbox that is mated to a sophisticated 4-wheel drive system. The SUV boasts of a 0-100 kmph time of just 4.8 seconds with a top speed limited to 250 kmph.

The Mercedes Benz GLC43 AMG Coupe gets various drive modes that alter engine responses, steering and suspension settings. The car comes with a 4-wheel multi link suspension setup and a wider track than the standard GLC. The air suspension system is also tuned to deliver ride comfort as well as better cornering stability. The GLC43 AMG Coupe comes with the AMG Performance Braking system and AMG Sports Exhaust. The AWD system on this car delivers 69 percent of the power to the rear axle while rest of it is sent to the front.

The Mercedes Benz GLC43 AMG Coupe gets 20-inch wheels, AMG body styling, chrome diamond-block front grille and gloss black inserts on the outsides. On the insides, the car comes with the AMG instrument cluster, AMG Sport steering wheel, Aluminium trims, red seat belts and a sunroof. Apart from this it also gets a dual zone climate control system, powered front seats, heated front seats and power lift gate. On the safety front the SUV comes with Attention Assist, blind spot detection system, PRE-SAFE, rear view camera, 7 airbags, ABS etc.
