Skoda Celebrates the 1st Anniversary of the Kushaq adding more features to the Made for India SUV

Skoda Auto India has introduced new features on its Kushaq SUV lineup celebrating its 1st Anniversary for the Made for India SUV. Under the India 2.0 Project, German automotive group Volkswagen had announced in 2018 that it would invest 1 billion euro between 2019 and 2021 as part of its strategy to enhance its presence in India with the Kushaq being the very 1st product for their reform strategy which paid off with the SUV selling in huge numbers.

The updated Kushaq now comes with added features that include a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard across the range. Also now all variants of the Kushaq 1.0L TSI now come equipped with the start-stop recuperation system as standard and with this feature the fuel efficiency of the SUV is now improved by 7-9 per cent as per the car makers claims.

The interiors of the Kushaq now come with a 20.32cm (8inches) Panasonic sourced infotainment system with knobs and buttons for select functions increasing ergonomics and ease of use for the driver.

Another addition is the Non-Sunroof (NSR) Style trim. It sits between the current Ambition and Style variants. The NSR Style variant is based on the 1.0 TSI Style. It will offer a 4-dial medium analogue instrument cluster and will be exclusive with the 6-speed manual transmission, thus offering one more value price-point for the customer the company said.

The technical specifications remain the same for the Skoda Kushaq with two engine options on offer – 1.0L TSI with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic and the chart topper 1.5L TSI EVO engine with the 6-speed manual and also a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission option.
