We have already driven the Skoda Octavia facelift and have only good and great things to write about the car. You can read our detailed review of the luxury sedan from Skoda here.

Meanwhile, news have started trickling in that Skoda India is gearing up for the launch of the facelifted version of Skoda Octavia. The launch is scheduled for 13th of July and many copies of the facelifted model have already started reaching the dealerships.

One of the major attractions for the new Skoda Octavia is its quad headlights setup which is remniscent of the previous generation Mercedes Benz E Class, something that makes the car look unique with respect to its competition. The 2017 Skoda Octavia will be launched in three variants namely Ambition, Style and Style Plus.

Major features in the facelift version include LED Quad headlights setup with LED DRLs, an 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphones integration, Electronic stability control and Multi collision braking, reverse parking camera with sensors, dual front, front-side, rear-side and curtain airbags, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Driver Fatigue Alert System, premium leather upholstery and 12 way electrically adjustable driver seats with memory function, phew!!!!

Powertrains wise, the Skoda Octavia facelift gets the same set of 1.4 litre and 1.8 litre petrols from the current generation Octavia along with the 2.0 litre diesel mill. The 1.4 litre petrol will come mated to a 6-speed manual, while the stonker 1.8 TSI petrol will be offered only in the 7-speed DSG automatic guise. The 2.0 litre diesel will continue to have both the 6-speed manual and 6-speed DSG automatic options to take care of its transmission duties.

It would be interesting to see how Skoda India manages to price its Octavia sedan post GST.
