Suzuki releases BS4 variants of Hayate EP and Lets scooter

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, one of the world’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, has launched two new Bharat stage IV compliant two-wheelers; the Let’s Scooter and Hayate EP Motorcycle.

The Lets has been launched at a starting offer price of Rs 47,272/- and the Hayate EP is tagged at the price of Rs 52,754/- (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Both of these come with new environment friendly engines as well as an auto headlamp on feature, which is now a government mandated safety feature for all two wheelers. The 2017 Suzuki Hayate EP comes equipped with an 113cc, single-cylinder air-cooled BS4 engine further boosted by the Suzuki Eco Performance technology. The power of the bike is 8.5 bhp at 7,500 rpm with torque figures being 9.3 Nm at 5,000 rpm. It features a dual 5-step adjustable rear suspension, a maintenance free battery, and a longer seat and wheelbase.

The second addition to Suzuki’s lineup, the 2017 Suzuki Let’s sports an 112.8cc air-cooled engine with a CVT gearbox. With 8.44 bhp of power and 8.8 Nm of torque, the motor meets the BS4 norms. It comes equipped with AHO, dual colour meter console, central locking, tubeless tyres, telescopic suspension, and maintenance free battery. The company also recently reworked the New Access 125, the 125cc automatic scooter and the bestselling Gixxer series of 125cc motorcycles as per the Government’s BS4 compliance norm.
