Toyota has introduced a new entry level base trim for the Glanza today. The Toyota Glanza G MT is priced at ₹6.98Lakh and now starts the model lineup. Toyota has also confirmed that they have sold more than 11,000 units of the Glanza since launch in early June this year. The Toyota Glanza is based on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and is targeted at the young millennials and first time Toyota buyers.
Powering the Toyota Glanza G MT is the non Mild Hybrid version of the 1.2L petrol engine Like the other trims of the model. The BS-6 K12M engine powering the Glanza G has 82.9PS of power and 113Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 21.01kmpl on this the non mild hybrid version of the Glanza. In terms of equipment the Toyota Glanza G MT comes with automatic climate control, height-adjustable driver’s seat, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include dual-tone alloy wheels, steering-mounted audio controls and push-button start-stop.
The Glanza was the first product to be launched out of the Toyota Suzuki joint venture that came into place some time back, next models on the share list include the Suzuki Ertiga, Vitara Brezza and the Ciaz in the coming time.
The Toyota Glanza also comes with the ‘Toyota Edge’ ownership program that includes Toyota Protect (for three years), Toyota Extended Warranty (for five years), Maintenance Plan (for three years), Toyota Accessories and Extended Warranty (for five years) coupled with easy finance options from Toyota Financial Services.
