Toyota Unveils the 2024 All New Land Cruiser lineup, Coming to India?

Toyota has unveiled the 2024 Land Cruiser which pays homage to the legendary Toyota FJ40 Series. The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser will be available in three trims: First Edition, 1958, and Land Cruiser. Toyota is also offering two distinct front-end looks for the latest version of its iconic off-roader. First Edition and 1958 models get a grille treatment highllighted by a rounded headlight setup, while the top trim Land Cruiser model comes with a horizontal headlight setup and different body trim styling.

Toyota says the Land Cruiser First Edition will be limited to 5,000 units and will get a unique front skidplate, roof rack, and rock rails as part of the standard package. The Land Cruiser 1958 base model is same as the First Edition plus it gets fabric upholstery and sand the First Edition’s standard accessories. The Land Cruiser trim is the most one with the rectangular headlights and body-colored front fascia and comes loaded with more standard equipment and tech features than the other two trims.

2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is now a five-seater vehicle. Key styling elements include Toyota name on the front grille and rear tailgate, and steel bumpers. The A-pillar has been pushed back to aid with visibility, and the wheels were pushed outward to make it appear beefier.

Wing mirrors come in retro square shape that are door mounted reminding a lot like the FJ70 Series. Tail lights come with blocky styling again reminding you of the previous-generation Land Cruisers. The unique styling element is the manually opening rear glass panel that opens outwards.

The 2024 Land Cruiser is body-on-frame and built on the TNGA-F platform.  Powering the SUV os Toyota’s new i-Force Max 2.4-liter four-cylinder Hybrid engine that also gets 48-hp electric motor that hits out a total of 326Hp and 630Nm of torque, all this is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.

All 2024 Land Cruisers will be equipped with an electronically controlled, full-time four-wheel-drive transfer case and an automatic limited-slip differential. A rear locking differential is also standard on all models that splits power 50/50 front/rear when needed as per terrain.

Suspension duties is taken care by a control-arm front suspension with twin-tube shocks and a rear multilink suspension with coil springs. The SUV gets  an electric power steering  and drives on 17-inch disc brakes front and rear.

You also get Toyota’s latest Multi-Terrain Select, which lets you shift between drive modes that include Mud, Dirt, and Sand. Also on the feature list is Toyota’s crawl and downhill assist control feature as standard in the Land Cruiser trim, while the Multi-Terrain Monitor can help spot potential obstacles on the trail thanks to the cameras located around the vehicle body.

Speaking of the Land Cruiser 1958 here you get black-fabric upholstery on manually adjustable seats and everything is basic and totally classic except for the  8.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and six-speaker sound system.

The top-trim Land Cruiser comes with vegan leather and powered seats with heated and ventilated functions, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and a 10-speaker sound system. 18 inch wheels are standard while the top end trims get 20 inchers.
