Skoda updates the Scala & Kamiq
Czech automaker Skoda has released official images and details of the facelifted SCALA hatchback and KAMIQ crossover in the international markets. Both of these models will be available in Essence, Selection, and Monte Carlo trims.
Both cars have a refreshed design and a tweaked cabin with a long list of tech-based facilities. Under the hood, they are offered with a choice of two petrol engines.
Major changes on them include refreshed radiator grilles, LED headlamps, and interior choices. The car maker also said that these models now adopt digital technology upgrades, ensuring a seamless driving experience and embracing Ĺ koda’s new corporate identity.
The new Ĺ koda Kamiq and Ĺ koda Scala models now adorn a much more sportier design and improved practicality, drawing inspiration from the Enyaq electric SUV.
The new Ĺ koda Scala gets a fresh sportier styling that is inspired by the Vision RS concept, while the Kamiq comes with a more rugged SUV character, reminding you of its SUV siblings, the Karoq and the Kodiaq.
Both the Scala and Kamiq now come with LED headlamps as standard. While you can also opt for the top-of-the-range TOP LED Matrix headlamps, which are advanced intelligent headlamps that offer full beam capabilities at night while preventing glare for other road users.
Kamiq and Scala models now adorn the bold Škoda lettering on the boot, highlighting the company’s fresh corporate identity unveiled recently. This change signifies Ĺ koda’s commitment to innovation and modernity.
In terms of interiors both the Kamiq and Scala get inspired by the Enyaq electric SUV offering customers six interior designs. Three trim levels, Essence, Selection, and Monte Carlo with black body elements, sports seats, and adjustable ambient LED interior lighting and lots more.
The interiors of the Kamiq and Scala also get digital technology upgrades which include digital instrument cluster which is now a standard feature, and customers can also opt for the optional 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit, infotainment display comes in two diagonal sizes: 8.25 inches or optionally 9.2 inches, redesigned climate control panel with new rotary mechanical controls. Both the models come equipped with modern safety and assistance systems, as well as connectivity functions. Ĺ koda continues to offer a plethora of ‘Simply Clever’ features, including some segment-firsts. Notably, the Scala and Kamiq can be equipped with an optional electrically operated fifth door featuring a virtual pedal function. This innovation allows for easy hands-free opening of the boot, adding practicality to the driving experience.
