Volkswagen India launches first paperless facility in Coimbatore

Volkswagen India new digital facility in Coimbatore will have a 200 sq. ft. screen to display virtual images of the entire Volkswagen product line-up.

Volkswagen India inaugurated its first new-age digital experience set-up in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The state-of-the-art facility, Volkswagen Coimbatore will be equipped with self-learning digital kiosks for customers to explore the entire Volkswagen product line-up. A completely paperless set-up enables information sharing through digital channels and displayed through informative screens. The set-up will also have a lounge and cafe facility that will offer customers convenience with space to relax and experience the brand and products at leisure. The facility located at Avinashi road, Peelamedu will have 2 cars on display and will be spearheaded by Mr. Sudersan Jagadeesan, Dealer Principal, Volkswagen Coimbatore.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said “In line with changing customer consumption patterns, Volkswagen has taken a step forward with the launch of the first ever digital experience set-up in India. Volkswagen Coimbatore is sure to enhance customer experience and add a premium touch through the use of technology and innovation. The new set-up will enrich the entire process of buying a car thereby making it a memorable experience.” The dealership is located at 1261, Near Nava India Signal, Avinashi road, Peelamedu, Coimbatore – 641004.

Volkswagen recently launched the Tiguan SUV in India. It is their first SUV after nearly a decade in India. It is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel motor mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox and 4MOTION all wheel drive system. The company will be also launching the Passat luxury sedan in India and will be placed above the Tiguan in terms of pricing. It will use the same 2.0-litre diesel motor but in a higher state of tune.
