Volkswagen India’s first new product in a really long time the Ameo is the first model that has been especially made for India. The Ameo is Volkswagen’s answer to the highly competitive sub compact sedan segment. It consists of cars like the Maruti DZire and Honda Amaze which have been selling strongly and are the main stays in this segment. The Ameo was launched at a stellar price tag of Rs. 5.14 lakhs which undercuts the Maruti DZire and even the Volkswagen Polo hatchback.

In an attempt to spread the word, Volkswagen India has released a new TV commercial. The Ameo TVC shows how the Volkswagen Ameo is a very mature choice and buying decision amongst other cars available in the market. It depicts a modern day father-son relationship in an urban household. The Volkswagen Ameo TVC will be aired on Sunday 26th June, 2016 on Colors Channel. The Ameo TVC has been conceptualised by DDB Mudra and directed by Shakun Batra, who has films like Kapoor and Sons to his credit.

Volkswagen Ameo Rear Three Quarter

The Volkswagen Ameo is available in a total of three trims namely Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. It gets many first in class features like Cruise control, Rain sensing wipers, Anti-pinch power windows – Front and Rear, Front center arm rest and Static cornering lights. It also comes with ABS and 2 airbags as standard features even of the entry level variant. It is currently available with a 1.2-litre petrol motor that develops 75 PS and mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It will be soon available with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a segment first 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
