2021 Jeep Compass Prices announced , starts at INR 16.99 Lakh .
The 2021 Jeep Compass has been launched in India at prices starting from ₹16.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi / Mumbai). In addition to a choice of four trims, 11 variants and 7 colours, the New Jeep Compass will be available in three variants of the 80th Anniversary Limited Edition.
In terms of the changes on the outside the 2021 Jeep Compass the main addition is a new body color option. Other cosmetic changes include tweaked Jeep seven slot grill, new full LED head lamps, new alloy wheels, new design LED tail lamps, new restyled front and rear bumper with wider honeycomb mesh air dam grill.
In terms of interiors the changes are lots. What comes in the update is a all new dashboard that houses a brand new 10.1 inch touchscreen unit, new styled control knobs for the climate control, repositioned start stop button with knurled finish on them. The cabin also gets a fresh looking soft touch upholstery , new style steering wheel, updated instrument cluster, increased storage space in the bin under the center armrest, wireless charger, electrically opening tailgate etc.
Speaking of the new 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system this unit comes with all the connectivity features, a new OS and also a faster processor running it. This unit uses the UConnect 5 technology which is a android based system. You can control even the climate control using this touch screen unit along with the various connected car features and receive over the air (OTA) updates on the go. Features like voice command, AppleCarplay, Android Auto etc are also included. The instrument cluster is also a brand new 10 inch HD screen which is the virtual cockpit in the Jeep Compass.
In terms of safety features the Jeep Compass in its latest avatar comes equipped with seven-airbags, antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) and a host of electronics including electronic stability program (ESP), brake assist (BA), terrain modes, hill assist (HA) and hill descent control (HDC), 360 degree camera, cruise control, electric tailgate among others.
Powering the 2021 Jeep Compass are the existing BS6 powertrains which include the Multi-air petrol and Multi-jet diesel unit. The 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, Multi-Air petrol engine is mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). While the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, Multi-Jet diesel engine will be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic transmission. The new Jeep Compass rivals the likes of the Volkswagen T-Roc, Skoda Karoq, 2020 while the base entry models also rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the MG Hector Facelift and the Tata Harrier.
