LIVE – Tata Motors unveils the 2021 Safari, bookings to open on 4th of Feb
Tata Motors has got back the legendary SUV brand the Safari in its all new version. The Pune based car maker unveiled the brute SUV today which will now be the flagship SUV model for them. The car maker has also announced that the bookings for the All New Safari which is termed as the 2021 Tata Safari will open on the 4th of February online and across Tata Motors dealerships. The Safari will be available across 9 trims and in 3 body color options.
The 2021 Tata Safari was first unveiled as a pre-production concept named as the Gravitas, at the 2020 Auto Expo. Tata Motors also named the Safari for its export markets as the Buzzard but here in India it has hung on to the classic iconic Safari name and rightly so.
The Tata Safari is built on the OMEGARC architecture that uses Land Rovers D8 platform. The 2021 Tata Safari will be available as a 6 and 7 seater across the trims. On the outside the All New Safari comes with the Signature Grille garnished with Signature Tri-Arrow Chrome motif and the Humanity Line that makes its face along with the neatly integrated headlamps in the dual tone bumper. On the sides the Safari comes with 18 inch wheels, body cladding on the fenders and running board, angularly placed large quarter glass, fiber insert that connects the sides to the roof rails with Safari branding on it and shark fin antenna. On the rear profile the 2021 Safari comes with a large tail gate, integrated rear spoiler, LED tail lamps, SAFARI branding on the tailgate, dual-tone rear bumper with integrated dual exhausts.
On the inside the 2021 Tata Safari comes with Oyster White Interior colour scheme, ashwood dashboard, Premium BeneckeKalikoTM Oyster White Perforated Leather# Seat Upholstery & Door Pad Inserts, satin chrome pack, soft touch dash, dual zone climate control, mood lighting, 8.8 inch AVN touch screen system, JBL audio system with 9 speakers, 7 inch color TFT instrument cluster, IRA connected car feature to name a few features. Other key features include Boss seat adjust for the front passenger seat, large sun roof with rain and anti pinch closure feature etc.
Powering the 2021 Tata Safari is the BS-VI 2.0L Kryotec Turbocharged Diesel engine with 170PS and 350Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic option.
